MIDI signal to HELICON voice pedal
MIDI signal to HELICON voice pedal
How shall I set the MIDI settings on my NS3 so my Helicon VoicePlay GTX just get the information of which notes I play. Tonight I connect it whitout doing any settings and the MIDI signal from NS3 mixed up my presets on Helicon. I just want that Helicon understand which chords I play to chose the right second voice for my singer.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: MIDI signal to HELICON voice pedal
Hi Kalle
I just use an aux out from the mixer to feed my Helicon Voice pedal. I just mix in the 2 nords that I have into the instrument through channel on the Helicon. This works perfectly. When I only use one Nord I just pass the left channel of the Nord through the Helicon on the way to the mixer. Both scenarios give great results. I haven’t tried to use midi to drive the Helicon as the instrument through works so well.
Hope this helps.

Re: MIDI signal to HELICON voice pedal
You should set up your midi settings on the helicon to a different channel.... I have the voice live rack and it changes programs on Midi channel 7 but it receives the NP, "Natural Play" for chords on midi channel 2.... In the manual it was clear on my voice live rack....
It also receivet the chords from my guitarist via audio as stated above so, when he does a solo or some one nite gimmick, the helicon still receives the infos he needs...
I send also one time a request to the customer service help desk And they responded very fast....
I think you also need to enable the voice live to receive/recognize midi notes, it's in general settings in my voice live rack....I'm not in front of it though, so, sorry for the lack of precision....

I didn’t thought about to use the input jack INSTR IN on the Voiceplay, but I think that the MIDI input could be even more accurate. I have to play with the channels on the Voiceplay and Nord so it got just notes information and no CC information, right?

If you don't need CC (and PC) messages anywhere else, just go to the MIDI menu (system level) page 3/4 and switch off sending those (both PC and CC).
