Re: List of Nord Stage 3 known issues/bugs
Oooh, again the Sound Manager now regarding linking a Song to Program:
After linking in the SM, the NS3 doesn't take the change over.
Only when on the NS3 I select an other Song and then I select back the linked song then I see the change and hear the linked sound.
Sound Manager ver.7.42 and NS3C ver. 2.02

Re: List of Nord Stage 3 known issues/bugs
Flickering of the whole panel which resets both panels to previous stored version with all changes discarded. It started happening when I was trying to activate the ping pong parameter for the delay on both panels for the synth section. Now it happens once every few seconds but only for this program.

Re: List of Nord Stage 3 known issues/bugs
This is supposed to be a list of KNOWN (i.e. confirmed) bugs in the NS3. This is not supposed to be a list of things you think are bugs, or things that don't deal with the NS3 specifically. Please open a topic if you have an issue that you think might be a bug. Please open a separate conversation for issues relating to the sound manager's internal behaviour.
W.R.T. paul42's comment above about linking a song to a program, I believe this is to be expected - you have to trigger the NS3 to reload the active song before it picks up changes, if you've edited the song that's currently in memory, and not a bug per se. Perhaps you don't like this behaviour, but it's quite common in many programmers to not reload the current context until forced to do so - e.g. by double clicking a new sound or by going up and then back to the loaded preset. So, until we have official confirmation that it is not supposed to act like this, let's hold off on calling it a "known bug".

Re: List of Nord Stage 3 known issues/bugs
Hi all
Can some one explain to me what happens with the bug fix spreadsheet ?
I see a number of posts related to total loss of sound with the ns3 compact, as well as it being a major item on the spreadsheet.
I am suffering the same problem. Is it clear whether this is a hardware or software issue. It is not a ‘dirty ‘ potentiometer as has been suggested.
Thanks all
Tom

Re: List of Nord Stage 3 known issues/bugs
It is a user-sourced list of issues people are experiencing, ideally after being replicated by other users and reported to Nord support.
Every once in a while, one of us has a bit of time and will go through the list and cross fixed items off the list.
The purpose is for users to get an idea of whether their issues are seen elsewhere, whether they have already been reported to support, or might have been addressed in a later update, and quite possibly for Clavia themselves to have a bit of an external reference (they have explicitly referred to this forum in the past when releasing bug fixes).
The list is NOT an official document.

Re: List of Nord Stage 3 known issues/bugs
Exactly what @analogika says.
The list has some items that are getting a bit old by now, and I will likely soon go through it again, and clean it up with respect to things we know have been fixed, and maybe create a cleaned up version in a separate tab that focused on 2.0 and beyond. Generally, the idea is to put things on the list with a clear description on what happened and how it was triggered, whether it is reproducible etc, and then for others to mark it as reproduced.
The first post also tries to explain the intention with the list and this thread.

Ah, good. You do that.
I did the last major cleanup around 1.3 or so, I believe.
I’m still on 1.6, so I haven’t got around to checking the newer bug fixes yet.

Re: List of Nord Stage 3 known issues/bugs
Hi, just bought my new NS3 compact and this plastic piece was loose inside. Very small so I got it out from the cooler grid.
It’s definitely a broken part from something else but I have no clue where this come from. Doesn’t look from an actual fatar key, at least not like the NS2 keys.
Does someone know if NS3 compact has different model of Keybed?
Thanks.

Edit: I already figured out the problem. Definitely is a broken piece from a key. Doesn’t work aftertouch of that key. I will bring it back to the shop tomorrow.

Re: List of Nord Stage 3 known issues/bugs
Just upgraded my Nord Stage 3 firmware to 2.1 (I think from 1.6?) so I could use the latest Nord Sound Manager with a Nord Stage 3 program I downloaded (Styx - too much time) - Upon upgrading I now cannot even see more than half of my programs that I configured and stored. Sadly, I did try to backup before the upgrade, however it error-ed out before it finished and I went ahead with the firmware upgrade so I could get to rehearsal. So, I do not have a backup and I am missing several programs. Any others with a similar experience? Suggestions? Wondering if anyone has a copy of the v1.6 firmware so perhaps I can downgrade and see my programs again before my gig next week? Thanks!
