I have a Neo I and it is a great difference!
I own an NE5d/73 and two real-hammonds, but with the Vent my Nord5d/73 sounds like a hammond. the Neo makes the sound a little bit softer, because Nord-Hammond sounds very rough!
the other question is, if you need such a perfect hammond-sound. I play in a cover-band and most of the time, I use the internal leslie-sims in hammond and in Nord (that means: no Neo), because no one hears the "real-good-hammond-sound" in the mixture of sounds in the band no one hears. if you play alone, the Vent (I or II) could be a possibility for you!

I have a Neo Vent. Yes, there is a big difference. But it stays home most of the time, since no one but me can seem to tell the difference, and less stuff is always better. The built-in simulator seems to be enough Leslie to deliver the needed effect.
I think I have gear issues ....
