You did mention it in the post:
" I used an o-ring lubricant called Molykote 55 from Dow. "

Is it not silicone grease? (used to lubricate plastics)

I believe so. I looked for something that was friendly to plastic.

It is Silicone based with lithium mainly used for o-rings. If you can't find it you should be able to use Super Lube (O-ring grease) made by a company called Synco which is very similar and has identical uses. I've used several Super Lube products for years on my race cars and the same o-ring grease on my Vettes. Well known as the only safe & effecting thing to use on Corvette sway bar bushings.

Do not use anything with petroleum products in it which is found in some silicone greases as it can turn into a liquid. And neither product should be used with anything made of silicone or it will be ruined.

I called Nord about my Stage 2. Had been in heavy use for 6 years here in austin, tx. I was referred to a local shop for repair. We talked about various repair ideas. At the end I decided to have the keybead replaced. Best decision. It felt like new again and no clacking. cost was around $600

Hope this helps
