Nord stage 3 cant download patches using Nord sound manager

Hello. I tried downloading to patches/sounds to my nord stage 3 and it says there is no space on it. However, I just recently bought it and that was the first time I ever tried downloading something. Can anyone help me please?

Well - it depends on what you downloaded. The Stage 3 comes from the factory fairly "full" on pianos and samples. There is a little room, but to download anything significant sized, you might have to delete some of the existing samples/pianos.

What EXACTLY was the message?

Were you trying to transfer programs (.ns3f), piano samples (.npno), synth presets, or synth sample files (.nsmp or .nsmp3)?

You need to select the proper tab in Sound Manager for each of those and drag them over.

It was the piano sound and in the piano tab

Yeah, there's not a lot of piano sample space left over, so depending on what you were trying to add you might need to clear up some room there. It will show you how much space is free at the bottom of the window (e.g. 31.2MB free or whatever). If you're trying to load a sample bigger than that, well, it won't work until you free up some space.

Tip: If you want to replace one sample with the same instrument but a different size (e.g. go from Blue Swede Lrg to Blue Swede S, for instance) you can swap the sample out (which re-links all the programs using that sample for you) instead of deleting it - this will be more convenient when you want to reduce some pianos you don't really need to make space for another piano you want or to upgrade an L to an XL (like the new EPs - SWAP the old EPs out for the new, instead of deleting/uploading).
