Re: Now (2.0) Nord Stage 3 start to get life!
Hello. I tried the new live rhodes. If you use them flat and / or filters have too many low ... They sound big but too low ... My equalizer at some point was a - 14db !! ..... the same The acoustic plans .. This it's my opinion. You can no longer play a rhodes without dvetlo equalized exasperated .... I wonder why? Why was not it like that before? Which rhodes do you prefer? But above all, I feel it only me that the plan and the rhodes have too many low? And do not tell me to cut them because I've come to - 14 ... But the stamp then becomes ugly

Why is such a problem to use the equlizer? I really do not understand it. The equalizer is there for a good reason. You can exploit it to get the sound you like best.

True, but it's better if you find an EP that sounds the way you want without using the EQ. As I said in another post, once you have to put EQ on an EP to make it sound the way you wanted, you're still left with two problems. One is, the EQ is then not available for any other sounds on the same panel. Second, any time you want your EP, you have to navigate to one of your saved programs to get it (i.e. calling up an EP from the front panel never gets you the EP you want).Mr_-G- wrote:Why is such a problem to use the equlizer? To my ears, the rhodes are sounding a little better right now. I don't feel they need eq but depending on your rhodes choice, you might want some eqing. No sound is completaly ready, but they are still raw, so you can chain you effects and eq just like in the "real" life.

Play around with the EP filters, especially Dyno 1 and 2. While I agree that there is more low end, it does not sound over boosted when I run it through my QSCs. What type of amplification are you using?leonardo 1 wrote:Hello. I tried the new live rhodes. If you use them flat and / or filters have too many low ... They sound big but too low ... I use a 12 dB DB monitor. But I played in professional situations with expensive systems ... Maybe it's me that I pretend from this ns 3 sounds ready without using the equalizer ... Or better to use the equalizer but do not put the bass at - 14! ... unfortunately I have the memory of our classic where the sounds were ready immediately. Equalizer used it only to have an extra boost on the suns ... sometimes I ask myself: but is it my own that maybe has this problem? ...... Forsr with regret I will resume a previous model !!

I don't if I get that wrong, but when you say "low" you mean the dyno 1 and 2? or every new EP?
Because I tested on my HS8 with sonarworks reference 4 profiled and running , then add a Sub to that and sometime I can say dyno 2 it's a low, but not overboosted but, of course, if it is more low it's naturally more loud right?
I found that was very good sounding and no over low on EP5 bright (which I don't use to like but in this new EP XP they are sounding ok)
But I have to agree, they sounded more balanced without eq on my NS2C.

When I say bass I mean bass .. Sorry for the translation .. (middle and bass highs) .. I've tried all the ep and the only one is actually the bright ep5 .. That's more balanced .... The same is true for the acoustic pianos ... First there were not all the low ones ... If I put it in layers with a Pad it's almost scary !!

Just curious. Do you initialise the piano section to test the epianos? If not, then you are left with whatever settings are stored in the current program.
