OS1.60 KB Hold Issue

Post by stgermain »

Hi All

Just found an issue with OS1.60. I have a patch that uses the KB hold on the synth section, after the upgrade the same patch doesn't hold the sound. The volume fades and then nothing sounds even if I re-trigger the keys.
Luckily this was just at a rehearsal, wouldn't of looked good at a gig.. :o

I have gone back to 1.52 and the issue is not there.

Can someone else confirm before I raise it with Nord

Working fine for me - I tested both panels to be sure - this is on a sample by the way - strings. NS3 73 - v1.60

Thanks for the quick response!

My patch uses a Mix Sine wave rather than a sample, can you try that?

thanks

Ok - got it - yeah the prob is the decay on the amp envelope has to be sett all the way up to "sustain" - yours is set at 9.54s and it's just decaying away to nothing over that time. Turn decay all the way to the right and it works.

I tried your program. AMP ENV DECAY is only set to 9.54 s - change this to maximum ("SUST"). This should keep it sounding on forever...

Best regards, Alex

Hi Both

Thanks your help but I'm still getting different results from version 1.52 and 1.60. The patch has Amp decay set to 9.54s

On 1.52 I am able to re- trigger the sound as it starts to decay, on version 1.60 when I re-trigger the sound it just decays along with the original notes. When the original notes have decayed I can no longer trigger that sound.

Any further thoughts?
