Re: Nord Stage 3 - hammond B3 Sound
I donth think its fixed and it ever will be.
Try comparing them side to side and make a decision.

Re: Nord Stage 3 - hammond B3 Sound
Clavia should research options for licensing at least the leslie sim technology from KeyB, Neo Instruments or Crumar. To me the Nord Stage B3 is mediocre and I never play it live without a real Leslie or eventually thru a Neo Ventilator. Hammond is a big part of the music I play (typical Focus and Procol Harum) and Clavia just don’t make it sound right. Why should a Mojo 61 or Viscount Legend costing a fraction of a Nord Stage 3 Compact be much, much better? Yes, of course the Stage is much more than B3 but still the others consist of much of the same base hardware as the Compact. Both the Legend and the Mojo are mainly a single man’s project so Clavia should have much more resources to make it much better.

Licensing requires that the other company be willing to license something... which may not be so likely if doing so will cut into their own sales, or they may only do it at significant cost. And as far as internal development, it's not a simple matter of "resources," you don't simply spend more money to get something better, because the path to "something better" is not necessarily known.
Re: Nord Stage 3 - hammond B3 Sound
I do not understand why Clavia in NS3 did not put the same sound engine as in C2D (although it says so in the NS3 specification). Such a business policy towards customers, the Nord Keyboard is very bad. I hope that the Nord team will correct the detected defects and finally solve the problem or will This is the last Nord I buy ...
Re: Nord Stage 3 - hammond B3 Sound
All this is so subjective. Is there anybody that has both a c2d, and a stage 3, and possibly one of the other Nord stages or electros that supposedly have a better Hammond, that can put up some tests comparing them and prove to me that it's different?

It is the same engine. It just doesn’t have all the same customisation options.
The Nord giveth; the Nord taketh away…

The same customization options do not have NE 5, but sounds much better than what we have on NS3.

That’s exactly my point, they should source for help to find this path. Clavia has been making good profits for years compared to at least a couple of the mentioned options which have been struggling to develop a business for quite a long time. I am not the only struggling to like the B3 in my Nords, would be glad to drop the Vent, Leslie or consider to add a Gemini.anotherscott wrote:Licensing requires that the other company be willing to license something... which may not be so likely if doing so will cut into their own sales, or they may only do it at significant cost. Asina, this has been discussed extensively in other threads... but what version of the S3 OS are you on?
Re: Nord Stage 3 - hammond B3 Sound
Can you post sample showing the difference between the two?Asina wrote:The same customization options do not have NE 5, but sounds much better than what we have on NS3.
