hello Guys,
Trying to work a little today and I'm trying to create a samplerInstrument.
I needed to create 1 sample assign to 1 note and I can't find a way to do it !
I found the UpperKey assignment, no problem, but there is always a 2 octave lower than the RootKey !
Can I have 1 sample on one Key only ?
Any help will be appreciated

Hello zGo,
yes.
I assume that you're working with Nord Sample Editor (NSE).
To assign a single sample to a single key you have to either assign different samples (or a silence sample) to the keys on each side of it.

thank you Hanon for your answers and it helps a lot !
I wanted to be able to split few samples on the velocity because on few songs I have to play on stage different king of sounds should be trigger ... I understood it is not possible for the moment, maybe a software update could be released ...
I wanted to be able to assign output of the slot A on the left output and slot B on the right output, I don't know if it is possible for the moment ?
Like that I can have 2 sounds, on on the right and one on the left, I like mono
I will try the MORPH option with a pedal or modWheel, maybe it will do the trick.

Hi Hanon,
did you try to make that (putting a silence sample)? I tried but it won't assign, it looks like it can't recognize silence sample like a "sound" sample....

Hello all,
you have to fool Nord Sample Editor (NSE) into allowing the silence.
I usually record a silence file with 1 second of silence followed by 100ms of tone.
In NSE:
I manually set the sample's start point at the real Sample beginning (because NSE will have set the tone as the start).
Then I set the Sample Stop point (No Loop) as close to the Start point as NSE will allow, but before the tone.
It seems like a bit of a hassle, but it works.
I hope that this helps.
Cheers, Hanon

Hi and thanks for posting this, it's really very helpful.
With regard to using the oscillators, they cannot be split, but what I do to get round the problem is make my samples hard left or right in stereo so I can have separate outputs. If you want to include onboard sounds, you will have to record them and layer them to use with your samples.
