The Doors Sounds for NS3
I just purchased a Stage 3 88 and new to this forum. I've been searching for some info on creating patches (.ns3p) files to emulate some of Ray Manzarek's organ and piano sounds. I've found some that are for Stage 2, but I understand they will not load into the Stage 3. Can someone please point me in the right direction.. Thanks

Welcome-
Most of his live performances he used a Rhodes and a Farfisa. You have both in the NS3. Find the videos on YouTube, listen to the sounds, and select them in your instrument. When you get one that is close, use the EQ and effects to get closer.

Re: The Doors Sounds for NS3
Actually, Ray never used a Farfisa. He used a Gibson G101 which is quite different. One of the major differences is the ability to engage the "sustain" tab and get a longer release envelope.
You can start with the Farfisa and get somewhat close, but the waveforms in the G101 are really not the same as the Farfisa. Unless you are a purist, it probably won't matter to you or your audience.

I love a good gear nerd.
