Snapping Fingers Sound
Does a program exist for "snapping fingers" for use on NS2 - ? If no, has anyone successfully created one using the synth section?
I looked through the Nord Sample Collection, but could not find one. Our band is playing "Fever", so this sound/patch/program would be valuable. My hands hurt after snapping for 5 - 6 measures.

Re: Snapping Fingers Sound
You can create one yourself, find a .wav of finger snapping (or record your own! Or the original one from the record...) then use the Nord Sound Manager (correction Editor!) to create a .nsmp using that sample (remember to set the sample Play Mode = Unpitched, as explained in the Nord Sound Editor manua)

Re: Snapping Fingers Sound
Absolutely, Put a mic on a stand press record, and snap your fingers. You might do several and then mix them together with slightly different start points to get the feel of having the whole band doing that at once.maxpiano wrote:You can create one yourself, find a .wav of finger snapping (or record your own! One slight correction, though...Nord Sample Editor is used to create the .nsmp,, not Nord Sound Manager.

Re: Snapping Fingers Sound
Well, using Sample Editor, I recorded one finger snap, and somehow Forrest Gumped my way to making a very usable sample. I must say, if you open Sample Editor for the first time and have just two hours before rehearsal to create one, it can blow one's mind! However, the user manual got me started, but it sure is a techy read.
The final product ended up multi-timbral, and chromatic - a different tone for each of the 73 pressed keys. Kind of cool, actually! Not quite sure how I did it, but voilà. And, very economical at only 392kb.
Will post the sound tomorrow night when I get home from another rehearsal. One good thing about being a keyboard player, you're always in demand. There's a zillion good guitarists and drummers out there. Then, there are the bass players...
