not sure if this makes any sens, but I thought it might be useful to centralize discussions about using the Nord Sample Editor, in particular problems you have in using it (a more comprehensive tutorial is still on the agenda and many have gone into this direction, be it on websites, youtube etc,...), but in particular bugs you might encounter or general issues you have or features you miss. It might also be helpful to see if it is just a particular problem on your configuration or a general bug etc. confirmed by others.
Let me start with two minor points
I would like to be able to drag and drop samples into the window making it easier throwing files between audacity, the explorer, and the NSE
When I change a sample and want to test it and press "create (and download", it gives me an error, apparently because a sample under the same name already exists on the Keyboard. So you alwazs have to delete it first, go back, download it etc., IMHO overwriting it or at least giving you an option dialog would be better.
Whats this "Nord Backup" created on C:\ every time I start one of the program??? Why not use a temporary folder as most other programs??

Just the NS2 OS update now allows to directly redownload a sample and it automatically overwrites the sample in the unit so it makes it much easier to work on samples an directly see how it sounds, no software update needed.

Simple. Please add multple layer sampling to Nord Sample Editor. This is very simple thing. Some instruments dynamics are not the same. So If you want a good result, you MUST add ''piano'' and ''forte'' dynamic samples at the SAME time, period. Other companies did it in early 90's, c'mon...
These users thanked the author barismertpeker for the post:
This is more for the Sound (not Sample Manager), but still:
I just created a patch and wanted to back it up as bundle and I got a 94MB file and thought my NS2 was not reacting. Finally I figured maybe the Piano Samples are included in the Bundle files, is this the case?
Maybe it would be nice to have the option to only include the samples since typically pianos are loaded anyhow but sharing a program with the included samples could be worthwile in order to not to loose ones creations. SInce the name of the Piano sample should be in there anyway, getting them is fairly easy anyhow...
Just a thought
I wish a straightforward single-audio-file-to-a-single-key assignment feature having no influence on any other keys. This is useful if you just want to assign a number of sound effects each to the same number of keys without afterwards having to assign silent samples to other keys affected. (It seems a bit silly to have to overwrite with silent samples assignments that should never have been there in the first place but it is possible, of course).
Also - but more difficult I assume from a software programming perspective - it would be great to have an indicator that shows where we are in a sample during playback.
