I wonder how on the Nord Stage 4 to recreate the following section where Eddie Jobson from UK in the song Nevermore uses effects like portamento:
It's in the solo duel between Jobson and Holdsworth. Between 3:20 to 4:30 Jobson is using various effects and sounds which sound so cool:

There is a great live version of that, where you can see that (understandably and disappointingly) the first crazy glissando is a sample.
The rest is perhaps set at a fixed short time and the up and down glissando is done by playing notes a few octaves apart.
I would not be surprised if the glissando time parameter is also programmed and sequenced, so Jobson does not have to be adjusting it here and there in real time.
