I have a Nord Electro 5D 73 key and have up loaded many sound samples from Yamaha, Kurzweil, Roland and Korg
Unfortunately I dont have them backed up due to a dying labtop

Im interested in up grading to a Nord 88 weighted key Piano or Stage can the samples I loaded in my Electro 5 be transfered into my new Nord?
If so how would i do it?

Samples yes, just use Nord Sound Manager to save from old and load on the new keyboard, but apart from samples there is no cross compatibility on Nord models at Program level because each model has a different structure.

So OK for Samples, but when it comes to Programs you will have to redo them.

It shouldn't be a problem to get your samples converted from sample v.2 to v.3 through the Nord Sound Manager - that's what you need for the Stage 3 or a Piano 4.

Sample v.2 also has been reported to be convertable to sample v.4 if it's home brew, but not really confirmed in my eyes - that's what you would need for a Piano 5. In any case, they are meant to be convertible - maybe it's possible already.

Im NSM (Nord Sound Manager) is not a familiar tool, take a look at this video. Helped me a lot 2 years ago.
