Hi everyone, I hope all of you are doing well. A recent post in the main Stage Forum nord-stage-forum-f3/stage-3-synth-progr ... 21767.html had a question about setting up a synth program allowing a single note to fall off in pitch over one or two beats after being hit. I offered a couple suggestions and then messed around with it further on my Stage 3. Getting the pitch of a note to slide down, slide up, or both, without the use of morphing or the pitch stick is something the NS3 can cover well (as long as you don't need the effect on a Super or Sample waveform), however absent full ADSR capability, the effect cannot be delayed for some period after playing a note within one synth program. To get around that, here are a couple of programs where I use two synth programs - the primary sound on one panel and a sliding pitch sound on the second panel with the Delay effect used to bring it in later than when the note is played. For the DX7 program, the Delay effect is on panel A with the AMP ENV Attack bringing it in slowly to somewhat coincide with the primary sound on Panel B decaying out. To learn more about it, there's nothing like turning the knobs and seeing what they do, so load a DX7 version and see if you can create the Analog Brass version from it - all are posted. Good luck!
Update Nov 26, 2021: Replaced the DX7 program with versions sliding (gliding) up and sliding down, and added a "Syndrum" program.
For the "Syndrum" program, both panels are used with the electronic drum on Panel A and an overlapping white noise "hit" on Panel B. In the MP3 I play just Panel A, switch to Panel B, enable both, and then add an arpeggiator on both. Resonance can be added for other classic effects. Keywords: Glide Slide Pitch Simmons
