As I wasn’t satisfied by zither virtual instruments I found around, I went in a monastery, and sampled a real one (En Calcat model) using a pair of stereo km184 thru an apogee interface.
It was played with real hands (haha!) and I try to make the sound the most realistic possible, with real imperfections !
I also took sound effects (tuning etc) and all minor / major arpeggios.
Below is a little improvisation where you can hear how sounds unlooped nsmp version (solo with just reverb) and another mp3 to hear every samples dry.
I downloaded your Zither sample, but the file is not a nsmp extension.
Instead the file is called: AAA0EmVWd_niCakPcN-GF6EJa

In the original post is dated 2015 the OP was just advertising that he sells this sound on his web site, so any issue/claim/question regarding a purchase and download of it (which I assume is what you did, right?) should be asked to him on that site as well, imho

Good catch, I totally missed that this post is nine years old. I think nowadays anything "for sale" needs to be in a specific part of the forum. I also didn't notice at first that this was a for sale item.
