[REQ] Looking for 8 Bit Sounds (old video game sounds)
Hello!
I'm looking for a download of classic 8-bit sounds used in the Gameboy Colour and other older systems. This is for a gig coming up where I'll be playing old-school video game covers. It would be a game changer to be able to play the parts with some legit sounds. I'm using a Nord Stage 3. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Simple programming using the standard synth pulse, sawtooth, triangle and sine waves at fixed volume and without any filter decay should work out fine.

Here is Pac Man / Mario one of those lol
Middle C
If you take the arp off it will give you another old school sound to use. Just added a second. Had fun making this one. You can Take vibrato on or off for different variation.

Thanks for sharing your Pac Man sounds for the Nord Stage 3.
I've been working to recreate the game and just bought this piano.

I wanted to down load that pacman sound that Mr. hilbilly parade programmed but I only have an electro 6 so I tried to sampled it with the mp3 he uploaded.
Disclaimer: Couldn´t make the loop even so it makes like a funny pattern and depending on the pitch of the note, the arp it´s faster or slower which I think it´s a common issue with the samples with arp so it´s okay. I couldn´t help the rhythm of the loop but it´s my first sample :p I just uploaded for any users that dont have any stage model.

You can also load the ns3f file in the Nord Viewer (https://ns3-program-viewer.herokuapp.com), fetch the parameters and try to recreate those on your NE6 ?

Thankyou, I didn´t know that function of the forum. If I understand your suggestion the Electro 6 doesn´t have a synth engine. Or you may suggested to do this on another synth to sample itcookie wrote:You can also load the ns3f file in the Nord Viewer (https://ns3-program-viewer.herokuapp.com), fetch the parameters and try to recreate those on your NE6 ? Re: [REQ] Looking for 8 Bit Sounds (old video game sounds)
This might be off-topic here but how would someone replicate the same sound on a Lead A1? I opened up the "Old School Game" program in NS3 Program Viewer. It says there is a Square wave with the second oscillator being a detuned square wave.
As far as I could tell the second oscillator is detuned by 4 semitones. Or is it 0.4 semitones because of the fine adjustment?
It doesn't sound anything like the uploaded demo.

Re: [REQ] Looking for 8 Bit Sounds (old video game sounds)
The "4" that you see in the viewer is noting that it's using 4th type of OSC 2 setting on the Stage 3 - it's the same thing we see on the OLED display. The OSC2 pulse is set to be an octave lower than the OSC1 pulse, and the OSC Control is set at zero, so there isn't any detune being applied. Try setting up two pulse waves an octave apart (equal levels) with vibrato applied. I hope that helps, take care.szszoke wrote:This might be off-topic here but how would someone replicate the same sound on a Lead A1? I opened up the "Old School Game" program in NS3 Program Viewer.
