Huey Lewis - Walking On A Thin Line
Wondering if anyone has a program for a Stage 3 for "Walking on a Thin Line" by Huey Lewis. I would like to cover this song with my band but before I suggest it i want to make sure I have the goods lol.

Re: Huey Lewis - Walking On A Thin Line
I had not listened to that song in a long time and just gave it a quick spin. Great song! There really aren't many stand-out keyboard parts in the song, other than what appears to be one or two different synth bass sounds occurring in the intro and repeating later in the song. This sounds like a pretty basic type of Moog like bass that I bet can be found in the NS3 synth presets. The repetitive played A note seems like it may have a quicker decay than the A-F#-D, which sustains a bit more and maybe has a touch more resonance.
During the verse and chorus, it's harder to hear, but there may be a bright synth pad type sound mirroring the guitar chords. This is a sound you could probably also find in the synth presets. I can have a look later and see if I find anything that might help more.

Re: Huey Lewis - Walking On A Thin Line
I had a program that was somewhat similar so put this together quickly to get you started. With both synth panels used, I added a B3 with drawbars on the Mod Wheel. I agree with ericL, during the verse and chorus it sounds like there's more of a bright synth pad mirroring the guitar chords, so a 2nd program might be needed. If you have a couple guitar players, the B3 might work fine. Good luck to you!
Note: Listening to it again, I took a little resonance off the right-hand synth and provided a better demo. In case you want to try it, it would be very easy to sample the original intro, have it fade in on a single note and then assign the A, F#, and D samples individually for playback.

Great sound! Nails the sound from the recording perfectly!
I also agree that a bright synth and or Hammond sound would be good during the verse/chorus. Depends on how many guitar players you have, LOL.
