NS 2 to NS3?
Hi.
I bought the new NS3 and I want to copy all my own programs from my NS2 to my NS3.
Is there a way to do that?
Regards
Martin

Ok. Thanks. to much work for me. All the artist I play with. I can't redo all those programs and playlists.
Sad to say....I have to sell the N3 instead of my N2 ex. Should have checked this up before buying

Thank you for the answer.

Re: NS 2 to NS3?
Every new Nord Stage is a quite different machine compared to the previous one, think about the differences in the synth section, for example: even mapping the equivalent parameters would not get you the same sound... and how would you set parameters which are not there??

Re: NS 2 to NS3?
Personally, my new stage 3 is way better that my previous stages.
I knew before I bought it that there were bugs, that we cannot convert programs, no sample editor, etc..
But this did not stop me from buying one...there are so many new things that if I do pros vs cons, the NS3 is a clear winner.
So I’ll take my time to redo all my programs and try to use the new functions in them.
Some functions from my NS288EX are not in my new stage, so I’ll have to use the new functionalities and at the end, I know everything will be ok and I will be happy.
The stage 2ex is still a very very good stage....
Regards

Re: NS 2 to NS3?
Hi jusix,
that converter has been hidden behind a login wall because its function now is built into the Nord Sound Manager: There was nothing else but converting (user) samples from V.2 (*.nsmp) to V.3 (*.nsmp3). Which is now done automatically when you try to load a V.2 sample to your NS3.
Unfortunately, that conversion only works for user created content for conversion into V.4 (*.nsmp4). But as long as you don't have a Stage 4 or a Piano 5, this not an issue for you.
