Distortion and clean guitar sounds
Anyone have a sound for a distortion guitar and a clean guitar. Have a single guitarist and would like to be able to help out on some songs.
Thanks

Re: Distortion and clean guitar sounds
The search function works well for simple keywords and even better on the Nord User Sounds site. You can sometimes get quick results out of that. I have a few guitars posted with a lot of other programs that might be helpful at nord-stage-3-programs-ns3p-ns3pb-files- ... 15748.html They are listed in the 2nd post where you can listen to them. I hope that helps, take care.

Are you willing to design some sounds from scratch? Take the Nord samples as a starting point and add some effects! It will be your sound.

Re: Distortion and clean guitar sounds
Here is a good distorted guitar sound for you. It does use the Les Paul Neck-mic sample in slot 140-

Re: Distortion and clean guitar sounds
That is what I have actually done. I play in a hard rock / heavy metal band and we have only one guitarist as well. For some songs, especially in the solo parts, a second guitar for the rythmics is esential. I use my Nord Wave for that and I mix 2 different distortion quitar samples, add a little FM and a subtle organ wavetable for extra harmonics, some chorus and delay effects, eq and a bit of extra drive to make the sound fatter. Sounds pretty good! Are you willing to design some sounds from scratch? Take the Nord samples as a starting point and add some effects! It will be your sound.
It's very interesting also to study Derek Sherinian's sound signature (Dream theater, Billy Idol, Malmsteen, Sons of Apollo), he has developed a unique quitar sounding tone with a Nord Lead 3 and some pedals. Great inspiration!
