Maroon 5 - Sugar, MKTO - Classic, Ariana Grande - Break Free
Hey!
I'm looking for patches for the following songs. Alternatively, I would be also thankful for any tips on how to create these sounds.
Maroon 5 - Sugar (subdued type of synthorgan? sound)
MKTO - Classic (intro: plucking synth, verse/chorus: pad/mellotron? + synth lead)
Ariana Grande - Break Free (pad/mellotron? + power synth?)
Appreciating your help!

For the Maroon 5 organ, I would use the synth section, rather than the organ. Why? you have the benefit of the filter (LPF), which you are going to need.
Try setting the synth type to WAVE and choose one of the first few waveforms in the list which are organs. Then set the Filter Type to LP12 and turn the Frequency knob down to 10'oclock. That's your starting point - you should be able to nail it if you play around form there.

And now for something completely different...

Hey Neolithic - do you have a Maroon 5 program you could share by any chance?

Here is a quick try - I've done two patches for NS2 and NW. The main synth-part on NS2 and a thick bass-kind-a-patch for the NW.
For the intro, messing around with the LFO is the best option - Imho
The freq is morph by a ctrl-pedal - Used in the bridge
It's far from perfect, but hopefully you'll find it usefull (Y)
Cheers
Andreas

for "Sugar", I use the Nord 's B3 with 88800000 registration and LESLIE OFF. sounds just like the record.

Re: Maroon 5 - Sugar, MKTO - Classic, Ariana Grande - Break
My band just started learning Sugar and I've not fully dialed in all my sounds. On my NS2, I am using a CP80 sound throughout most of the song as it defines the chord structure well and cuts nicely while keeping the somewhat sparse sound of the original recording. I also have a dual synth pad layered and assigned to my control pedal, which I bring in during the chorus. I still need to set up an alternate synth/vocal type pad for the bridge, but that's getting a bit picky as the CP80 plus synth pad captures it pretty well.
Nords: NE2, NS2 88, NS3 Compact x 2
Live rig: NS3, Vent, Radial KL-8, Shure PSM-900 IEM Rig, UE18 & UE7 IEMs.
Studio: Hammond A-101 & Leslie 122, Yamaha CP-80, Yamaha S90, NS2, DSI Prophet-6, Vent II, Roland JX-8P.

Here's my stab at Sugar.
Roll the wheel up for adding a pad in the chorus.
