Hi,
What is the situation on sampling other hardware synths (or instruments) we own?
Can we share those samples made by us?
Are there any copyright issues with sounds that have been generated with those synths (let's say with presets that came with the synths)?

Thanks for the reply, that does not strictly answer the question, though

This is a typical case : if you create a sound using a hardware synthesizer then sampling & sharing is allowed.
On the other hand, presets that come with the board may be copyrighted.
In all cases we need to check the user licence.

Re: What is the situation on sampling synths?
That is something that is legally a bit ambiguous. Take a preset, for a typical synth: saw wave, 4 pole filter at X hz, modulation adrs envelop set to certain numbers etc...you CANNOT copyright that - if I somehow stumble onto that sound (not copy from you, but from my own experiments), I have full right to use that sound. Information cannot by international copyright law be copyrighted...only the EXPRESSION of that information...ie the computer file or format containing the info CAN be copyrighted. This is part of what makes plagiarism hard to prove, in both music and literature.
an EULA can set whatever terms it wants, as it is a free contract between end user and leaser....however, often the terms stray outside what a court will enforce.
