Time for an update. In 2020, I retired the SL 990 and got a Fatar Studiologic SL73, thinking I would retain the former for larger gigs where the extra octave of piano keys was required. In practice, I've never done this and managed to use clever use of the octave shift buttons to work around this. So I'm selling the SL 990 to a mate of mine who's setting up a new recording studio.Ritchie333 wrote:How long have you got?
.... which brings me onto my current rig:
2011 - Nord Stage 2
2012 - Fatar Studiologic SL 990 (replacing the ProKeys which I sold in 2018)

Re: Your Lifetime Of Keyboards
My collection is quite interesting because my dad plays a lot of keyboards in 80s&90s China. The list in chronological order.
2001 and before:
Unknown Soviet synth
Yema YM-8501 (I think it's the first mass-produced electronic organs in China)
Yamaha PS35
Yamaha PSR410 (Super expensive, worth 3000~4000 CNY in 1993, the avg monthly income at that time is around 200)
Yamaha PSR-GX76
In the 1990s, Yamaha dominated the Chinese keyboard market, and the most of keyboard we can purchase is more like an arranger because many bands are one-man band.
2007 - Yamaha PSR-S500 (My first keyboard, started playing the keyboard when I was 6)
2011 - Korg Kronos, Yamaha Motif XF (Still very popular, these two keyboards basically defined the sound of Chinese pop music in 2010s)
2013 - Nord Stage EX 76 (First time traveled to US, my parents bought a used nord keyboard, so its my first nord)
2014 - Roland Jupiter 50 (Still love it, played a lot of 90s pop and city pop in my high school band)
2017 - Nord Stage 3 Compact (A huge upgrade from EX, but I don't have many chances to use it because it's my dad's main keyboard)
After 2018 (Moved to Canada for study (not studying music, but software engineering, lol)):
Roland Fantom 8 (Incredible keybed, the synth sound is great but the aftertouch is unusable for weighted keys, sold it for nord stage 4)
Yamaha MODX 6 (The MODX is fully compatible with MOTIF XF is a huge plus to me, and the sample for acoustic instruments are way better than fantom)
Hydrasynth (The polyphonic aftertouch is so good)
Nord Stage 4 88 (My main keyboard, it does everything I need except sequencer and looper)
Roland Jupiter Xm (Always connected to nord so I can play some classic Roland patches, and it's very portable)
