Just wanted to share with you a song we just recorded (live in studio) with my band. I am using my good old electro 3 for Wurlitzer and Hammond (Hammond appears towards the end of the song). Wurlitzer is amped through my Jazz Chorus 160. The other board is the Prophet Rev2 which I use for bass. Hope you like it.

I like it. The recording quality is excellent.
I would like to hear a bit more hi hat in the mix.

Nice one, the bass + wurly work great in that song. Where's the keys solo?! I remember you started out with NLA1 for bass. Happy with the switch to the Rev2? I've had one of those on my wish list for ages.

Ha, thanks, keys solo comes in some of the other songs to be released soon, you can hear a snippet in dicklaurent.ch. Indeed, I also still have the Lead A1, but use that one mostly in my jam band for online sound-exploring. I never really got a bass fitting to our 70's sound out of the A1, but still love it for instant sound-creation. Rev2 is a very nice sounding instrument, but if you are used to Nord, you need to be prepared for a leap back in convenience of interface. Everything just takes time to set up on the Rev2 and many design choices just don't seem logical to me.

@harmonizer: now you note it. Well, you probably know how it goes with mixing, right? At some point you can't really hear it anymore. We recorded in Helium records, Basel, very nice experience.

Well, it's just a large sticker film with wood print that I kind of neatly put on the entire front. Oh, and I put a silver sticker film at the back. I should post a picture, it looks kind of odd (ugly) but at least it's unique

@CountFosco: here's your "solo" and the lead A1: Icebreaker, starring electro 3 for hammonds, lead a1 for lead (and prophet rev2 for bass, slightly over the top).

That's a great track skipgilles, nice recording too. I see why you like the rev2 for bass. Like how you've started "keyboarding" up the sound too - a guit/bass/drums 3 piece lacks that magic interplay a keyboard can bring. Is Gday Fornication Deity still going too?
