I asked that few times to Arlo Leach and never really understood how it was going to work, syncking a click AND an audio track at the same time, knowing that the audio track could be recorded at 120.33 and the click being set at 120 only. He walked me through the website and some emails, he's very good at helping but it was not making sense for me just to start the click from the Ipad on Bandhelper and assuming the other audio track wil be in Sync. So, I bought a Drumbrute, it has a click/metronome that could be removed from the audio output if you plug a headphone into the headphone output.
I have the ipad sending the click/metronome to the drummer from the Drumbrute, the click form bandhelper, just the click and I also use the Nord beat apps to trigger a Proteus 2000 classic drum samples...I don't sync them, the drummer has a little Mackie Mix 8, I send/connect all the different clicks he has to follow and dependign on the song, he has always at least one click, coming from the metronome on the drumbox, or the click from the ipad if I didn't need to program any drumbrute pattern for the song, or the sound for the Proteus 2000.
Complicated but works like a charm...I think I could have sent a midi clock to the drumbrute a swell, but that doesn't solve your click+audio tracks anyway....
Is bandhelper is analysing the tempo of the audio track and adapt it to the tempo of the Ipad/bandhelper click, or the opposite like it does when we slow down a song???
Maybe but never did it, sorry.

If you are not afraid to take a computer/Mac on stage, Ableton Live can do a lot, like putting any audio file to whichever tempo you want, having a click, midi messages, sampled trigger etc... all in sync, all to separate outputs if needed (according to your audio interface capabilities of course).

Too much stuff to carry at a gig and I don't want to add a computer, I'm trying to do all with just the ipad and I understood it was also the case for the OP, he was asking about his Ipad with Bandhelper.....It seems to be possible to do is with Bandhelper but I don't have the answer on how to do that to help the OP...
Just call/email Arlo leach ...

I try now Ableton.

Ableton has to help me durings gigs with backing tracks, click tracks and program changes.
In Ableton you have session view and arrangement view. During a gig I want to start fast a new song in Ableton and not always have to open a new Live set. So using the scenes in session view seems to be a good option.

But I use audio files of for example 8 measures. This audio file has tocplay for example as intro and the next time after 80 measures. This is in session view difficult to make. In arrangement view very easy, but there are no scenes and you have to open for every song a new set.

How do you use Ableton on stage and do you have tips for my problem?

HI,

Sorry I missed your last message.

Indeed, the session view is the way to go in my opinion. (That's how I used it anyway)
It allows you to trigger scenes that can be part of songs, entire songs, whatever you want. With clicks, samples, with their own tempo and everything...
With every scene being able to send midi messages, program changes... etc...
Sweet memories of a time I could do soooo much more with Ableton and a midi keyboard than with my NS2ex :-)
Yet I'm not going back... But that's another discussion.

Many workaround for your issue.
Have one scene with your 8 mesures intro + 80 silent mesures + your sound again. -> One trigger lauches the whole song.
Or have different scenes (ex: one for intro, another for outro) and trigger them with a controller, a note, a pad, a pedal, whatever... at the right moent (so if you miss or add a mesure somewhere in the song, you're not screwed at mesure 80 because you're not in sync anymore)
Or have different scenes with informations on what to automaticaly do after playing. So that after scene "Intro" is played, it automaticaly plays scene "Blank" for 80 mesures, then passes to scene "Outro". So only one trigger but three differents scenes.
... There are probably other ways...
