P.S: The new A1 is here already, but it's in the Stage 3. Should be not that difficult to release a new lead. A matter of "want" not "can"

Features:

* Documented sysex as in the 2X,
* Sample loading (see playback the A1 engine in the Stage 3), but with well documented MIDI sample interface/Sysex,
* Custom loadable OSC waveforms via sysex
* Firmware upload using standard sysex. (no Mac/Windows dedicated software)
* In other words, no closed protocols or software.
* Host USB MIDI connector
* A CC to change between performance and normal mode.
* Desktop Form factor but still mountable in 19" (Guess they can make it flat like a DSI P12M or virus TI) making it smaller/portable might be attractive.
* No need for "one knob per function", now that there is a display (see Stage 3) things could be condensed.
" Include the synth engine of the Lead 4 and select A1 or A4 mode by layer.
* 90V-240V international integrated power supply
* Backwards compatible with A1 (and possible Lead 4) patches
* CV/Gate I/O, Eurorack mountable ?
* Price around 1000 Euro's

That would make me consider Nord's again.

And BTW really would like Nord to release their piano/electro engines in a rack/desktop again.
It has been a long time since the last one and a lot of things have evolved (larger memory etc

That LCD screen on the Nord Stage 3 would, the sweet sounding s-wave, together with the sample playback would make my A1 a dream synth, please Nord can we package this into the A2 and I will put my money down now :) I'm fed up with having to write down on bits of paper the names of patches :(

In the meantime I will keep attempting to play the keys on my A1 (and having great fun)

EGAD. That's why I bought Nord's in the first place. Please don't remove it! ;)

I agree with you, I think Happy's suggestion is shocking! :shock:
Keep the knobs!

There is one thing i have been dreaming for a while: LFO and Mod Env as Morph Source.
In other term, bring the morphing logique to its completeness, as a real modulation matrix.

Preloaded with real vintage synth samples, not the usual burps and farts nobody needs or uses.

Samples? This is a VA. But I would love to see sample loading on the A2.

I wish for a better keybed - like Virus TI or Prophet 6, one octave more and a small OLED with patch name, category etc.
