Piano noise pedal using CC108, no noise?

Hello,

I had my Nord Stage 2EX 88 yesterday and I'm really happy with it. The sounds are just outstanding and the keyboard itself is awesome. I ain't slept much last night.

I'm really glad of my investment and being a Nord Keyboard user.

According to the manual, page 52, CC108 should be the piano noise pedal. But no matter the value I give, I don't hear the pedal noise. While when I hit the pedal with my foot, I hear it. Any way to activate the mechanical sound using CCs?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best,

Fred.

PS: I use the Nord Triple Pedal.

Hi Boulifb,

What midi channel are you sending that cc data on? What are your midi channel settings in the Midi Menu?

Bless,

Pablo

PS -- welcome to the Forum! You can forget about sleep for a while....

Afaik the pedal noise is triggered by the Sustain (CC64), are you sure that CC108 isn't instead the one controlling if Pedal Noise setting is on or off? ;)

Just out of curiosity, if you have the Triple Pedal, what are you trying to do by sending cc messages for Pedal Noise? I've never heard of anyone doing that before.

I kinda wondered about that, too, but then figured it must be a sequencing thing...?
