Organ as the upper part of a sound

I'm new to the Nord Electro 5. I'm wanting to put the organ on the upper part of a split sound so that I can use a bass synth on the bottom. I'm trying to use the organ sound that is already in the lower part, transferring it to the upper part instead. I can do that by holding the shift button and selecting "organ" on the "part upper" section, but for some reason the volume drops by like 50%, even when I re-do all the parameters (drawbars, organ model, gain, etc.) to match what was on the lower part. I don't know why this is happening, and even if I crank the gain all the way up, it's not loud enough. Any thoughts? Thanks!

When transfering to the upper part (or when swapping in general), you have to make sure the equalizer and effects (notably the rotary effect!) are switched to "upper" as well! Also check the part balance volume knob and (if you have a control pedal connected) if the control pedal setting (on/off) is the same.
Unfortunately swapping upper/lower is not very easy

Ha ha ha, I'm sure you did. I'm not sure why I'm not getting notified of responses.... I thought I'd set my preference that way but I'll have to look again. Yep, I loved that book too!
