Sound loading

Good evening.

I am having difficulty loading sounds from the Nord sound library to my NS2. I have watched (numerous times) the instructional dvd clip that is within the sound library section however despite following each step I am still unable to transfer the sound into the respective section of the sound manager. For example, I download a brass section patch from with the sample library, opened the sound manager and selected the sample tab. I then dragged to sample section however this failed to load. I am obviously doing one simple step wrong..................Can anybody help.

Kind regards

David

You need to extract the .nsmp from the zip (even if Windows allows you to navigate a zip file, the NsM can't) + don't drag, but use the Sound Download button in the NSM instead

No, I mean: you have to unzip them if you download a set of .nsmp in a zip file, but if you download a single (unzipped) .nsmp then of course you don't need to.

Max is correct, sort of. While it is true that if you download a single unzipped .nsmp file it will load directly onto the Nord. However, there are NO such files to be found on the Nord website. They are all grouped into related sets of multiple samples -- and assembled together into a single .zip archive. These will need to be unzipped and yes you do need an unzip utility program to accomplish this.

Most samples available on this forum are not zipped, but downloaded singly.

Bless,

Pablo
