I am going to buy a C2D but I don't know which amplifier to buy. I need one that's portable and with a big sound. Below is a link to a YouTube video of a musician playing the C2D. This is the exact sound I want but it looks like he is using a traditional Leslie that is not portable. How can get this sound in a portable amplifier?

I also have one more question. I am totally new to Nord and portable keyboards in general. If the Nord C2D has built in clone of a Leslie and clone of tone wheel, then this mean I don't need a rotary Leslie to get the full sound?

Ok that speaker will probably sound fantastic but I'm so new to this I don't know if that speaker will give me the full effect of the built in features of the Nord C2D!! How do I know? The Nord C2D comes with a Leslie built in sim, but if you won't be satisfied with it, there's another alternative to a real leslie: http://www.neo-instruments.de/

Ok that's what I didn't understand. It has a built in Leslie. Does that mean I will not need to connect a speaker unless I want to?

No you need a speaker or a pair of headphones if you want to hear what you play.

Wow I would hear the Leslie effects through the headphones!! I'm so excited. I wish I could decide on a speaker. The few music stores where I live do not have the C2D available to test drive.

I have a Motion Sound Pro-145. It's loud, sounds great and moves air around just like a leslie. It weights about 60-70lbs, so it's a bit on the heavy side, but not a leslie.

I also run through a bass amp if I'm playing pedal bass, as the Pro-145 just can't handle the low tones. If you're always playing with a bass player though, I'd get the rotary speaker and not worry about the simulator.

*Edit* I should also note that my opinion is based on only using the Hammond. Rotary speakers are essentially low-pass speakers, as they cut around the 3-4khz range, which isn't ideal for the transistor organs.

The bass cab I use is a full range speaker, so it will play as high as you can hear and packs a punch on the low end.

Splendid because I will definitely play the Nord 27 pedal all the time. I am buying it too. So I need to buy Rotary Speaker or shouldn't buy a Rotary?

I'm at the music store and the salesman is recommending the Roland KC-550. What does every think?
