Sequencing with Nord Drum 2

Hello together
I'm completely new here and read a lot about the fantastic Nord Drum 2 / Nord Pad and the Nordbeat App. But what I don't find: Is it possible to play a sequence with the Nord Pad and save that in the Nordbeat App, the sequence plays loops and I can add beats to a copied sequence? So easily said, I start with a easy beat, press a button and have this beat in a loop where I can add more beats and save it in the next loop and so on?
Thanks for answering and sorry for the newcomer question...

This Nord Beat app is a free download and will work with ANY midi-compliant device. Your best bet will be to download it and play around with it to see how it works and what it can and cannot do.

I do a connection between an Alesis V61 Keyboard and set the pads to the same MIDI channel as in Nordbeat. I see now, that it is possible to "drum" the pads on the V61 when defined in the App. But I don't find a possibility that Nordbeat is recording the pads in a live mode. Even when I use the pads in Nordbeat itself, there is no recording of the drumming.
Until now I don't have the Nord Drum 2, but I really wanna buy it when live sequencing is possible. But how can I do that?

You misunderstand what Nord Beat 2 app is -- it is not a "sequencer," it is a "step-sequencer." These are two very different things. Once you have spent some with the app you should begin to see how it works, what is going on. You can do lots of fun things with it, but it will not record sequences in the manner you suggest. This is not a mini-looper or Ableton Live clone.

Hi Pablo
Thanks for the explanation. It's sad, that Nordbeat has no record mode, because this is possible in a step sequencer too. So the DM1 - an app that is available on iPad, iPhone and Mac - has this functionality. And that is not a looper, the app records just the beats, not the sound. But I would like to use Nordbeat, because the app is really cool and it would be fantastic if it would be possible to record the beats from the Nord Pad. Only then, then combination of Nord Drum 2, Nord Pad and Nord Beat makes sense for me...
