Jump patch

All,

I have an Electro3 and want the best (or most authentic) patch for the song "Jump".

I downloaded the OB-X library and tried the M12 BIGSYNBR sound which is okay, however I am
wondering if there is a more authentic sound available to download?

Thanks,

Ed

Hi,

"SynthPad2_ste"
is such a versatile sample,
that matches so well the NE settings : vel dyn, attack, rel1, rel2
you can do many songs,
a must have in the NE's memory.

Ok it's not the one used for the original jump, but ... I'd consider trying it.

F.

I have a sweeeet patch for this which sounds just like the OBX original... trouble is I play it on my Prophet08. I was about to offer to try to translate it to NS2, but I re-read that you have an Electro. I can create a multi-sample if you like. If you have a Prophet you can have the patch ;-)
(NS2 people - i'm not sure the NS2 would do a faithful job of it btw. The jump patches that are in the factory presets are pretty wide of the mark IMHO - they are more like 'homages' with cheeky referential names ;-) )

I have a Pro 08 :-) Feel free to post the patch. I love Oberheim sounds.

Really? Maybe that's the problem ... I assume that people want the sounds from the other Jump:

Brilliant! Irony is alive and well on this forum - I was starting to lose hope! ;-)

(yes - of course it was Eddie Van Halen I was referring to)

I think it was the B-side to Baba O'Reily... ;)

OK, here we go - I spent way longer than I intended turning this into a sample, but along the way I *finally* figured out how to perfectly adjust the loop points at the start of each cycle using the 'view trim' feature. I'll do a separate post on that.

Here are the Nord multisample (.nsmp) for the OP - Ed. I didn't bother making a NS2 program as you have an Electro anyway.
Also is the Prophet patch for Vinnie and anyone else who wants it ;-) (I had to zip it to be able to upload it here)

It will benefit from some chorus and reverb FX, as per the orignal.
