I have a stage 88 Classic running OS 5.06. I cannot load any of the npno pianos. Is there a process I am missing? The two pianos I have are in the old format. Thanks

Hi Chipster,

What version of Nord Sound manager are you running? Please make sure that you have the latest version of that software, too. You will also want to make sure that you have the PIANO tab selected from within Nord Sound Manager when attempting that download. Are you getting error messages? If so, what do they say?

Thanks Pablo. I updated both the Sound manager and my OS to the current versions. I deleted my Grand Lady D to make room for the B. Imperial (small) to try. The patch was grayed out when I tried to select it. I am using a Mac. Should my Stage Classic handle the npno files with no problem? I played last night so I will set up the Nord later and give it another try. I was rushed yesterday. Thank you for your reply and your welcome.

Yes, your Stage Classic should handle .npno files with no problems. That's the only kind of piano files they take and this has not changed since the day the original Nord Stage was released (although, obviously, the .npno files themselves have changed much over the years).

You say that the "patch" was grayed out...exactly what are you referring to?

When I choose Sound down and navigate to where the file is, it is "grayed out" and I am not able to choose the file. I just noticed that I thought I had the latest Sound Manager but it is in fact an older app. I will download the newer v.6.52 and see what happens. Thank you Pablo.

That was the problem. All is well now. The older Sound manager would not let my Mac "see" the new file. Thank you

It might be helpful to the forum for future reference purposes is you ID the version which you were using. Also, it will be helpful if you clarify that you have the PIANO TAB selected when attempting this operation...
