Nord Lead A1 Keyboard sounds: Clavinet & CP tones?

Hi all,
Been a while! I am considering buying a Nord A1 to use on stage but, I have a question, is it possible to get good funky Clavinet & CP80/70 like tones out of the Nord A1?
Any experienced users here?
Love to hear your opinion, many thanks!

I do not think so. You need a Nord that supports the npno format for that (stage2, piano, electro).

thanks, but I meant, can you reproduce these sounds? I also have a stage, but I am interested in making tones that are clavinet like & CP like?

Clavinet-like sounds are certainly possible with substractive synths. CP-like, not so sure.
But most of all, it depends on how accurate you want those sounds to be close to the originals.

Thanks for the replies everybody! Very helpful. I was trying to do some CP tones, and DX7 electric piano tones are good enough. I tried it in a store nearby, and
I could create some of these tones a bit.
Do you happen to know an example or demo somewhere for Clavinet tones? I couldn't seem to find it anywhere on the net, and couldn't create it myself in the store.
Many thanks!

Hi Patrick,
I got my Lead A1 about a month ago and I'm absolutely diggin it!!
Here's an informative demo I watched before buying mine..
http://www.youtube.com/user/kraftmusic?v=RW5QgbomrxY
Around 5:45 he demos a clavinet (Well at least the start of a good clav sound)
There's an instance in this video where I think he confuses mutate sound & randomize sound functions but overall the demo is fantastic.
Cheers:)

Oh, recreate? The Clavinet, maybe, if you are not too fussy. Some people here commented that even the npno can be improved with "release" samples, so how much close you want it to be may have all three responses: yes/no/hmm
CP80/70 I really doubt it.
I noted that you mention an NS2 in your profile, maybe you can try playing with the synth section and see how close you get with the two onboard synths to recreate a clav-like sound.

Hej!
I just want to point out that you probably can do a lot of amazing things with your Lead, any model.
I have enjoyed this patch a lot of times and situations;

Thank you Nate for the video suggestion. It was exactly what I wanted to hear, it's the start of a Clav patch.

With a fast attack & phaser you can get a great synth clav out of it I am sure.
Now only for the CP tones, are there DX7 type oscillators to start with to achieve a DX type electric piano? If anybody has an example that would be awesome!
