Sustain is in reverse?

Hello,

I've encountered a problem with my NS2. For some reason it's switched it's sustain activation, so when the pedal is engaged there is no sustain, and when not engaged there is sustain. It's near impossible to play like that!

Could I have accidentally changed a setting which would be causing this? Or is it more likely to be an issue with the board internally?

Thanks in advance!

Nik

Hi Nik,

there's a system setting ("shift" + "program 1") which asks for the sustan pedal type. It may be "closed" or "open" or "auto", or even "tripple" - which is for the tripple Nord pedal only.
Especially when its setting is "auto", it depends on the order of switching on the NS and connecting the pedal.

Please check this and if you're sure what kind of pedal you use, set it to "closed" or "open".

cheers,
Bernard

Also, be careful when you switch the kbd up if you are using a simple sustain pedal. If you press the pedal while booting the NS2 tries to guess what kind it is (normally ON or normally OFF) and you might confuse it.
