Hi everyone,

http://www.norduserforum.com/nord-c1-c2 ... 69-30.html

So, after seeing fellow forum member Brad Carr's (username BC_C2D) amazing B3-style stand (see link above), with his permission, I approached Byron Coy at Valhalla Woodworking to see if he could make me something very similar. Valhalla (http://www.valhallawoodworking.com) is well-known for making replacement wood parts and reproductions of vintage Hammonds and Leslies.

Byron was enthusiastic about making me one and maybe offering it as a product for other C2D owners so I approached American Music and Sound (Nord's distributors in the US) and, while Nord do not want to put their name on a third-party product, they were happy to help by shipping a loaner C2D to Valhalla in Pennsylvania for measurement. AM&S feel it will help sales if there is a product like this available as some potential church customers are keen on the traditional organ vibe.

Anyway, the loaner C2D from AM&S is currently en-route to Byron at Valhalla and it will take him about 6 weeks to design and complete the stand. I'm hoping that the price might come down if I can get a few buyers on-board with this initial production run. Off the top of his head, Byron said the stand will be $500 or more. He'll have an exact price over the next few weeks as he finishes the final design.

If you are interested in getting one of these C2D stands, please contact Byron Coy at Valhalla Woodworking. His email is byroncoy@msn.com or info@valhallawoodworking.com and his cellphone is (717) 368-3638.

Thanks,

-Brandon Christy.

Hi Rikard,

Not sure if u got my replies. The Tapatalk app is showing them in the Outbox folder but not the Sent folder.

Anyway, shoot Byron at Valhalla an email at the email address above and let him know you're interested. I'm hoping to bring the price down if a few of us C2D owners place orders.

Cheers,

-Brandon.

Hi, the messages stay in the Outbox until they are read by the recipient. It is a bit confusing, but that is how it works.

Man, if they can sell that for a reasonable price (comparable with the more expensive keyboard stands, up to $4-500), I'd buy one in a second. Are they making sure a full set of pedals will fit under it? Either adapted vintage Hammond or Nord Pedal-Keys They should make sure they will fit.

Oh, man, does that C2D look good in that stand, and those are new screw-on sides? (They should offer a folding or removable-hinged key cover to go with! And matching music stand!)

And come to think of it (although it wouldn't have quite the same impact) wouldn't the stand also be usable for a C2?

Hi Mooser - could you email Byron at Valhalla at the email address mentioned above and register your interest. The more potential buyers he has for this first production run, the cheaper the price will be.

You could also mention your concerns re: footpedals and width.

The problem I find with all the stands is that you can't get the pedals far enough left to put the footpedals and expression pedal in the same position as on a real B3. It seems the only solution is to adjust one's technique but it's not ideal.

Yes, those are new screw-on sides so it looks nice and u can store the original burgundy red sides somewhere safe for resale.

I'm not sure about any other features like key covers and music stands - I wanna keep it as portable and gig-friendly as possible. Altho I know u were probably kidding.

Not sure if it will fit the C2 but I'm sure Byron would be up for making a C2 version.
