Is this the sound that you're looking for? "see 1:53 of the video"

What Nord instrument are you wanting to use it in?

Hoi,
These are excactly the sounds I am looking for ( Monopoly , leadsynth 1 , ghosties etc) . I am using them verry often in songs like Mothers Finest, ToTo etc.
Sorry I am reacting so late.
I am using a Nordstage 2.
I hope you can help me.

Hello Rene,
I had loaned my D-70 and D-50 to a friend, "mostly because I didn't have space for them". I have since gotten them back.
I should get some samples done up and posted later this week.
I don't have a Nord Stage 2, but my sample format will be compatible with it, and will be tested with my NE3.
Cheers, Hanon

Hello Rene,
As promised, here are a few samples from my Roland D-70.
The demo was recorded using my NE3 to play the samples.
The first sound is MondoPoly, the next is Ghosties, and the last is LeadSynth1.
LeadSynth1 missed the mark quite a bit because there was no way to properly reproduce the portamento, aftertouch filter sweep and vibrato on my NE3.

These are all sampled from my instrument and not from any existing recordings, or any existing licensed sample sets.
These are freely shared for use by NordUserForum members for performance and recordings and license is hereby granted for said usage, but not to be sold as an individual sample, samples, or part of a sample collection.

I used a MOTU UltraLite MK3 for audio I/O and Audacity to record the .wav files.

It seems as if the Nord Sample Manager software only works with samples recorded at 44.1kHz.
I'd have liked to use a much higher sample rate.

I hope you find some of these useful.
Cheers, Hanon

This are nsmp files, do they work with NSEX?

Nope, sorry, NE, NW, NS2 only. (Which is why I moved this thread in the appropriate forum). For the NSEX you would need to use the Synth engine.

Hi Johannes,
thanks for moving this thread to the appropriate topic area of the forum.
I never even noticed that it was started in the NSEx section.
I'll pay more attention in the future.

Hi Hanon,
I am sorry that I have not been on the forum for a while but I am verry happy with your help. I will let you know when I tested the sounds on my ns2.
Making a sample of the leadsynth 1 and 2 , as you told, is rather difficult. I already tried to do it with the exs24 from logic. I sampled the different (4) tones. And made one sound from it.
Did you ever migrated exs24 sounds from logic to the NS2 or NE3?
Cheers,
Rene

Hi Hanon,

I'm also a owner of the D70 and I still take it on the road..really thx a lot for the Mondo-poly sample, so I can at least play 'Narcotic' on the NS2. Is it possible to make more samples from the D70 like the Cool Bells, Asialon and Stringvox? I hope so, so I can leave at least one more keyboard at home....

Frtz,

Marc
