Simple question: Does Nord Beat 2 for ipad work with Nord Drum 1?
Seems very likely and it works with other drum machines. It's just the way they advertise it when they talk of Nord Beat 2

Both Nord Beat and Nord Beat 2 are basic midi output devices. As such, they will work with ANYTHING (even lights), capable of receiving and responding to incoming midi data stream.
That said, Nord Beat 2 and Nord Drum 2 dovetail together very nicely and effectively designed to be a tandem team.
