Nord Drum-newbie questions

Hey all,
First post here and I start right away with questions... just bought a used Nord Drum (v1), primarily for pad-triggered use in live setups (we're a 3-piece electro-psych-pop outfit...vocals, synths, electronic percussions..) and the little box sounds HUGE! But I'd love to incorporate it in my recording/songwriting workflow as well and need a little advice.... I'm a Propellerhead Reason 7 user, have a Focusrite Saffire Pro14 interface and would love to sync the Nord's MIDI in to Reason's MIDI out so that I can sequence Nord's sounds. According to the manual this should work but I was unable to make it happen. No matter what MIDI channels I'm setting the Nord to (learn functions or otherwise...), Reason's MIDI clock is synced to the MIDI out, External MIDI Instrument created, ports set correctly, but all this to no avail. If any of you guys have some 'Nord Drum working with Reason 7' experience, please share.

Hi there,

the Nord Drum itself has no Sequencer on Board, so it doesn't make sense to send Midi-Clock to it. But you can trigger it per Midi over a Midi-Keyboard or Sequencer like Reason.

Thanks, beoleTM. Yes, I know there's no sequencer function in the ND1, so indeed, sending MIDI clock to it has no relevance. I want the ND to work with Reason in some way.... hooking it up with the Redrum instrment would be nice... I'll look into this soon.
