Nord Triple Pedal Price

Post by with657 »

Hi, I have been looking the deal for this one. The price has been around ~$250.
Recently, I noticed the price is increased to nearly $400 at the most of major online store. (sweetwater, amazon..etc)
Is this the new model with upgraged feature? or just the price jump? Will it be come down if I wait further?

That sounds like a ridiculous price, maybe a mistake? Try somewhere else. In Europe it does not seem to have changed in price so far.

I got the response from the sweetwater, one of major online seller in US..

"To my understanding this is the same pedal, but Nord has had a recent price increase."

Nord think people who use the Nord are so wealthy, that she/he can pay whatever price they ask.
I know there can be a price increase for some reason,, but, more than 150% price jump cannot be justified, it changes my good impression of Nord.

Pablo, I am not talking about the Nord keyboard products which they are claiming "hand-made", although I don't know what exactly "hand made" means.
Also I am not talking about the aftermarket drawbar or memory card which is aiming for limited people.

I am talking about the same NTP, which is OEM product made by FATAR for Nord for many years. Actually FATAR's similar version sells around $100, although it is not compatible to NS2/NP2.

Even though accepting your economy logic, you means, US market is shrunk a lot, so price has to jump 150%, where as Europe market remains same. Is this your point?

Uh… "nord think people who use the Nord are so wealthy"… okay.

Since the price increase only appears to affect the US (the Triple Pedal is still 199€ here in Germany INCLUDING 19% VAT), this would seem to be a decision by Clavia's North American distributor, American Music & Sound: http://www.americanmusicandsound.com

Maybe the American distributor thinks you guys are really wealthy?

On another thread today, someone has said that the 88 key Stage 2 has also gone up in the US by $300.

While I find the price of the NTP quite high, for the record, the Fatar VFP-3-10 is different inside.
The sustain part in the Nord right pedal has 2 (double) bubble switches as shown in some photos in this forum (for noise velocity and half pedal) and a 4 resistor circuit to encode the combination of pedal presses. I do not think there is another Fatar pedal being sold elsewhere which is the same as the Nord.
