NordLead4: Difference 24LP and 48LP

Can anyone tell me if there is a significant difference between the LP48 and LP24 filter from the NordLead 4 ?

On my Stage2 i can clearly hear the difference between the LP12 and LP24 filter. With the LP12 you (obviously) hear more of the source signal. Also with the resonance at max the LP24 tends to self oscillate a bit more.

I may in the near future extend my setup with a Lead member. So, with the Lead A1 and 2X both lacking a 48dB/oct mode i was wondering if it would be missed. Can anyone tell me?

The number is the db per octave that are filtered above the freq of the filter setting.

Yes i know. But i was wondering if the 48db/oct adds anything musically or soundwise.

Yes, sound-wise. It filters more drastically. The slope of the filter is steeper.
Music-wise? It depends on what you do with it! ;)
