Before I buy a nord trip pedal, could someone please explain to me why, my old roland rp u-3 triple pedal doesn't work with my electro 4d?
thanx, john.

Perhaps because it probably works in a different way than what the nord circuitry expects.
As far as I know there is no "standard" triple pedal that works in "any" piano.

Nord Triple Pedal will also not work with Electro 4D. Only works with Piano, Piano 2 and Stage 2.

Any ordinary sustain pedal will do. Thing is, those triple pedals are not "ordinary." Basically, any device with an ordinary momentary switch in it will work just fine, regardless of whether it is a normally-open or a normally-closed switch. This covers about 99% of all sustain pedals ever made.
