Just spotted this on the quik-lok website. Looks petty cool! However there is very little information on it. Has anyone tried this stand? I was looking at the slicker baby spider pro. But it is twice the cost and it looks like the quik lok allows you to adjust the angle of the tiers. The spider pro tilt is fixed at 15 degrees. It doesn't look the sturdiest but looks can be deceiving, lightness and fold ability is more important to me as I use lightweight keyboards for my quick setup/teardown gigs.

Personally, i would avoid Quiklok !! i have had so many bad expeiences with them (i owned a couple and also they have them on the cruise ships i have worked). They wobble and never seem to line up perfectly (amongst other things). This is within a GIGGING scenario and their STUDIO stands may be better (as i have not ever used them).

Go for PROEL !!

Very happy with my Ultimate Apex. I've been using it for twenty-five years now.

I think the stand looks very good but it isn't practical enough to me.
I've tried some kind of stand but It is not as stable as a x-stand or a table-stand and you cannot put your pedal(s) right in front of you because of the V on the bottom of the stand.

That is why the Baby Spider Pro is a great choice. Yes, it is expensive, but you can add an extra set of arms, it sets up and tears down in a flash, is stable, and has plenty of room for pedals. With the lower arms extended, you can get two keyboards very close together, and the stand is not nearly as high as the Spider Pro, so there is no column in front of your head. I also Jerry-rigged mine with an on stage mic attachment:

IMO that has to be one of the most grotesque keyboard stands i have ever seen !! Personally, i could never play a single note using that particular stand.

But each to their own and i can appreciate that this may appeal to other keyboard players.

Everyone who has seen it in person has thought was the coolest stand they have seen!

i am guessing you are more of a Pop or Funk player as this stand would not really suit Classical or Jazz players.

Also, regardless of genre i don't see how there is enough room between the two keyboards to access the upper dials on the Nord ??

That certainly makes sense. I am definitely a rock guy, don't have the chops for jazz or classical.

That being said, I program all my sounds in advance and rarely need to access any of the upper controls. I just need to see the LCD display for program changes. The best thing about this stand is that the setup and teardown time is really fast.

Sounds to me like you got the perfect set-up for your music !!

If you don't require all the upper-display facility then thats makes the lack of space between your two instruments fine for you.

When i was refering to the stand not being suited to Jazz or Classical players i was meaning that these guys play sitting down (mostly), and that the stand would look a little too 'futuristic' for a Jazz Trio or Classical recital !!
