The 73 (or SW73) has a semi-weighted action, while the 76 (or HA76) has the same action as the HA88.

While the Stage 2 HA88 is (relatively speaking) a fairly light 88 key fully weighted stage piano, the 88 key version weighs almost twice as much as the 73 key version (41 lb v.s. 21 lb).

Hi Dave,

Just to be clear, that 73-note semi-weighted action is an organ-type of action, commonly referred to as a waterfall action. Your original post did not specify Nord Stage 2, but we're kind of assuming that's what you meant. There is another 73-note action represented in the Nord line: the Hammer Portable. Electro 4 and Piano 2 models are available with that piano-style action. The SW73 action runs F to F, while the HP73 action is E to E.

Pablo

P.S. to MJ: when are you crazy Dutch people going to get with the 21st century and join the rest of the world in the metric system? ;-)

Don't worry Pablo, all that will start to change when a keyboard manufacturer releases a keyboard for left handed people, let's wait 2014 :D
