OS Updates for the Classic /EX - anything to expect?

Hi,
now that the NS2 is getting its final OS bug fixes I was wondering what to expect for the Classic/EX owners in terms of what is feasible with this hardware?
I know that they are kind of "Maxed Out" as they say, but some things should/could still be addressed me thinks, in particular things that have been improved in the Stage 2.
What comes to mind would be
- SHIFT+Knob to show the value of a parameter
- extended PitchBend Range (OK this is been around for a long time...)
And some things I seem to have forgotten over the time. In any case, would be nice if product support continues at Nord as it used to be!
EDIT:
- Clav Muting via the MOD wheel would be great!!
- Maybe some of the non-LED knobs also morphable (e.g., Resonance)

agree. But maybe the Pitchbend-problem isnt fixable with an update? Else they would have done this before wouldnt they?

Is piano detune possible in the Classic? I've been waiting since it appeared on the EX - I emailed Nord but got no reply at the time.
Having said that, I love my Classic and am grateful for the support so far.

Good question. I am already grateful for all the support Clavia has provided for my Stage so far :).
The NS is already "maxed out" as you say on many things(the Organ for one), but yeah some smaller updates might still be possible.
The extended pitch range should have been added a long time ago, and I'm sad that it is not added to the NS2 yet. It should be possible to do via software update I would think, but I am no expert.
The shift+knob to show value would be nice, but I am not sure how it would work, when so many knobs(especially in synth section) have secondary functions when using the shift key. Clavia avoided this on the NS2 so they could implement this feature I presume.
The extra non-LED morphable would also be nice. I especially would want this on the LFO rate on the NS2 actually.
Nice discussion.

The LFO rate is at least controllable over MIDI, though (MIDI CC# 115). So if you really need it, you should be able to nearly replicate a morph function for LFO rate using a MIDI pedal, if you're looking for a "hands free" way to alter it.

How about transpose per program? Would be way cool to include the C2 battered Hammond.

Thanks for the info :)Good to know there is a way if needed. Still it would be much easier/better to just morph it of course, if it was possible.
The reason I would want this is mostly to use on the Mod.Wheel I think. So I could use both the pitchstick and the LFO-rate without waving my arm back and forth from pitchstich to LFO-rate-knob.

What I most need is software for complete editing of the programs, not only for the Stage, but for the Wave and all the Nords.
I want to see the values of all the paramaters in the pc monitor when I put a program in my Stage ( Wave, Lead, etc)
That would be very very nice, and I think it´s not a huge request for Clavia.

+1 on the Software Patch Editor! Ubiquitous nowadays, including in the Korg SV-1.
But it runs against Nords concept of immediate access and NOT relying on Menus or Computers when creating patches. But would be nice to have indeed!!

It is difficult to imagine Clavia doesn't have such a tool in-house! There are arguments for giving it to users, though: for example, in all my instruments in the past, I always needed a tool to make global copies of a single parameter (or one set of parameters) into several programs at once, instead of modifying them one by one.
Anyway, the Software Patch Editor could be written by independant developers - hopefully with help from Clavia for the file formats, parameter definition etc. - which Korg never accepted e.g. for their Pa arrangers.
