Hello
i want to buy a keyboard amp for my nord stage and my hammond xk3c and many people told me that the Roland SA-1000 is the best amp to go with.
any thoughts or other suggestions?
i cant go and try it out because the music shops here dont have it.
so any help would be appreciated
let me know if someone had any experience with this amp or if you want to suggest an other amp or combo or anything that you think is better please do it.

thanks

I can't remember ever seeing one at a dealer or a gig. Most people
Seem to think the powered PA speakers sound better than keyboard amps.
The Roland amps seem to get panned for their inability to reproduce
a good quality Piano sound. I used one at a party with an Organ &
Thought it sounded good. It was probably a Kc-300 or 500.

True about the quality. However they have excellent volume!

I have a SA-300 and enjoy it very much, you can't compare these to the KC series (have one also), the SA ist much better. The acoustic piano sound is always difficult to reproduce, but for me it is ok with the SA-300. But I must admit I don't use digital AP that much. Tha amp has lots of bass for organ work, the stereo upper part makes for a sufficient leslie impression and 4 inputs make it flexible to use as mini-PA even if you need a microphone for voice, wind instrument or another keyboard.
And it is lightweight. Big plus for your back...
Perhaps you can try to get one delivered with option of sending it back, if it does not meet your expectations.

Edit: according to that Roland website, both are discontinued, but Thomann Germany still offers them both as available.

The SA300 is a faboulous stereo keyboard amp/mixer. I use mine together with a RCF TT08a for the right stereo channel. The sound and vibes of this combination are pristine! It's not the cheapest solution but I was never happier than with this rig. I wasted too many years with playing through cheapish mediocre amps or speakers.
