Nord Drum as trigger-midi interface?

Hello all, please done laugh at this silly question but can I use a 1st gen Nord drum as an interface between drum triggers and sampler on pc or addictive drums on a PC, and if so can I just use a midi-USB cable to link em up? Also will I get full range of velocity etc and good latency?
