Nord Stage 2 Blowing Fuses Repeatedly

Hello there,
We have a Nord Stage 2 that continues to blow fuses over and over again. I replace the fuse with the correct one and turn on the keyboard, about 2 minutes passes by and the fuse is blown again.
I assume this is an indication that the power supply is faulty.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Any advice or help would be great.
Thanks
Patrick

Does this happen when you turn it on, or even when you're just playing, etc?
Also, what type of replacement fuses did you use? If it only happens when you turn it on, check if you got the 'slow blow' type of fuse. This types allows an appliance to use more than the rated amount for a very short period of time. Typically this is only needed when turning the instrument on, hence the question about when the fuses blow.
If you're already using 'slow blow' fuses and you're using 250 mA ones, you could try a slightly larger one (300 mA) but I wouldn't go bigger than that. Even with the 250 mA fuse (slow blow) it should work just fine. If the fuse keeps blowing, it is indeed a good indication there's something wrong with the power supply (provided you use a slow blow fuse).
Note: the power supply for the Nords is about 25-30 watts, so for 230 volt you use a 125-150 mA (250 volt) fuse and for 110 volt you use a 250-300 mA fuse (probably 250 volt too). Don't use a 250-300 mA fuse in a Nord set up for 230 volt - using the correct fuse protects both you and your equipment and by using an incorrect fuse (way too big) you run the risk of damage to yourself or your equipment. If a fuse blows, that's usually an indication of problems other than the fuse itself.

Paging Pablo Mastodon! Over the July Fourth holiday weekend Mr. Mastodon, Nord tech master that he is, helped me troubleshoot my NS2 that died on me at an inopportune time. Same symptoms. He determined that my board had been set up with the fuse for European voltage whereas my Nord works and resides in the US, with different voltages. I don't recall the exact specifications off the top of my head. Evidently, there a few of these out there. Mine worked fine for over a year like that with no problem before it started acting up too!

Hi All,
MJ is right on: the official recommendation for Nord fuse is 125mA when operating on 220-240v power and 300mA when on 110-120v power. Each fuse rated at 250v and slo blo.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
We have switched out the correct fuses numerous times with no luck. I've contacted Pablo as this seems to be a pretty rare issue with Nords. It appears to be a power supply issue though I am going to take the keyboard to a professional to properly diagnose the problem. Will keep you guys updated.
Best
Patrick

Problem found!
Get ready... we found a small piece of jewelry inside the keyboard that seems to have effected the power supply! I had noticed a while back that there was something loose inside the keyboard, but I hadn't every considered it an issue. After taking it out, the keyboard seems to be in good working order.
Thanks again for all your help, not sure anyone could have detected this one!

makes sense, any time you hear something rattling around inside your board( a screw that came loose, or piece of jewelry) there's a chance its metal, and a chance that it will complete a circuit where one doesn't belong, at least your fuse did it's job and saved your board.
