just in case - maybe somebody could help me...
I'm looking for a saxophone sample that isn't just as plain and "nice" as the nord brass saxophone samples. They sound nice, but very clean and ... I don't know... not very much alive, do they?
Is there any "roaring"-ly played dirty saxophone as a nord electro 4 sample in the world outside the Nord Sample Library?
(ehm... maybe even a velocity-controlled clean or "dirty" sound? )
Could you also give me a hint how I thank fellow-members for their help? I often see "has been thanked by 31 members" but last time, when I got a nice reply to my post, I couldn't find out how to thank another member as well.
Thanks a lot!
Matt

Definately, the mellotron-sax sample in the nord sample library is the answer.
It has that Stan Getz sound with the air blown that makes it sound real.
Use it with velocity and reverb.

Check the University of Iowa samples. I posted a link some time ago here somewhere (or just google uiowa samples). There are some saxophones in there (and their oboe recording is just unbelievably good). They are wav files and you will have to make your own multi-samples with the Nord sample editor.
BTW, to thank somebody you click on the "THANKS" button on the top right of the messages.
