can't open my Nordstage Classic in the Sound manager

The Nord Sound Manager (v6.26) is not able to locate my Nordstage classic (revision B). The Nordstage is connected properly to my computer; my computer recognizes the device as the right one, and nothing is wrong with the connection. (and yes, the Nordstage is switched on
Still the Sound Manager keeps stating: "Please connect your Nord instrument to the USB-port"..
Is it that I gotta have an earlier version of sound manager to function with the classic NordStage or something like that?

The latest version should work on NS Classic too, afaik. Have you also checked that you are using the latest Nord USB drivers?

Thanks for replying!
I just downloaded the USB drivers along with the latest version of the manager from Nords own pages a week ago or something (I reckon that would be the latest version?), and according to my windows (7) the drivers are functioning properly, and my computer recognizes the stage. But only the manager doesn't see it.. No other stage classic user ever had this problem? I highly appreciate further help.

Do you have the most recent OS (5.04) in your Stage Classic? Earlier OS versions are not compatible with Sound Manager 6.26.
